We managed to get some little plastic skis for Joe and took him up to Les Contamines for a ski. He seemed to really love it - charging around quite happily. There is a little video below.

There was a street event taking place in Chamonix on Christmas Eve involving a huge fire breathing dragon which we thought Joe might like, so we thought that we would go and watch.
Even though he was feeling a bit ill, he still seemed to enjoy the show! See the video here.
The snow came early this year so we got out sledging. Leon had his first go at sledging, and Joseph came along to watch and sledge as well.
As the Ski season is now here, I thought I should post some skiing videos, so here is a video of lasts years birthday ski week.
Joseph has a new game! It involves climbing up as high as he can and then throwing himself onto the pillow below ! Looks quite scary but he is clearly fearless!
He is also saying a few words now when he feels like it! We caught some of those on video as well…

In the last week or so Joe has started to stand on his own and take his first tentative steps unaided ! We captured some of it on video which you can see below, or if you are subscribed to the podcast it should download into iTunes for you.
Here is episode 2 of our family podcast, the First Day of the Ski Season. We spent an hour up at Le Betex taking it in turns to ski whilst the other looked after Joe. He seemed to find it funny with his mum on huge slippery ‘feet’ !
