Foire Agricole 2008

Every year in autumn St Gervais holds the Foire Agricole. The farmers bring down their Cows, Goats, Sheep, Donkey’s and even pigs this year and they are paraded through the main square - leaving a lot of sawdust an clearing up to be done on Monday !

Joe loves to see the animals, and Dad usually enjoys drinking the German beer (Which ran out before I got there this year!).

Joe’s First Ski !

We managed to get some little plastic skis for Joe and took him up to Les Contamines for a ski. He seemed to really love it - charging around quite happily. There is a little video below.

Christmas Eve - Chamonix Style

There was a street event taking place in Chamonix on Christmas Eve involving a huge fire breathing dragon which we thought Joe might like, so we thought that we would go and watch.

Even though he was feeling a bit ill, he still seemed to enjoy the show! See the video here.

Joe and Leon Sledging

The snow came early this year so we got out sledging. Leon had his first go at sledging, and Joseph came along to watch and sledge as well.

Joe’s mad Jumping

Joseph has a new game! It involves climbing up as high as he can and then throwing himself onto the pillow below ! Looks quite scary but he is clearly fearless!

He is also saying a few words now when he feels like it! We caught some of those on video as well…

Walking Joseph

Joe decided to help himself to his snack today, grabbing an avocado, and munching into it! It must have given him a big boost as he then decided that he would start walking - he got up and started trying to toddle around - without us to walk between. He had soon got the hang of it and was off down the corridor!
