Well the winter season seems to be flying past and so I’ve only just realised that I haven’t posted in ages! Meanwhile Joseph has been growing up and doing all sorts of new things, almost without us noticing.
He is still doing his strange ‘Dr Zoidberg’ type crab crawl - but at much greater speed! He can now get around very fast and it’s hard to keep up with him. We have to make sure all the doors are closed, especially as he has learnt to open them. He is bizarely interested in the toilet !
He is now confidently cruising around the furniture and the walls - walking whilst holding on basically which is really cool, and can transfer from the chair to coffee table by reaching out - again quite confidently.
Yesterday he also started letting go for a second or so and standing on his own. Just for a little while, and I think he isn’t really aware that he is doing it, but it shows his growing confidence in his own balance. He has also discovered the fridge magnets and how to remove them - I have no idea where he has hidden one of them!
We also showed him how to use the chair as a walker - so he pushes it in front of him while walking - quite funny. And finally we bought him a little beach ball and he likes to play ‘catch’ with it ! We roll it at him and he rolls it back and giggles!
He really is a very happy little chap, and laughs a lot and he is great fun. He still doesn’t sleep well at night though so we are both still exhausted most of the time!
