Joe was pulling himself into the car seat while crawling about the floor. This is the first time that he has done this as well. He managed to pull himself half the way in. Having pulled himself halfway into the chair he must have then slumped back down and ended up in a sitting position. So obviously he did it totally accidentally, but I guess this is part of the way that babies learn.
He seems to be learning new things every day !

Yesterday Joe started making a few walking motions when we held him up in a standing position. We only need to support him to stop him over-balancing (or let him hold our fingers) as he can’t balance himself yet. He can support his own weight really well on his feet !
Today, standing him up he immediately started the walking motion and “Walked” forward about 10 paces ! Still a long way from walking but an amazing milestone. Will post a video soon…A couple of weeks ago Joe made his first progress in crawling - managing to move a little way forward. Having realised that he could now move around a bit he has made rapid progress, and is now able to drag himself all over the flat. We are having to watch him a lot more carefuly now !

Winter is now well on the way - the snow line came down to just above the village last night, and the temperature was below zero this evening even before the sun set - We need to get the snow tyres on the car pretty quick!
Joseph is continuing to experiment with crawling ! He can now move from one end of the living room to the other quite quickly - he does a sort of pull with arms push with feet movement - not quite proper crawling but it gets him about.
He also loves to stand (Still!). He is even trying to make steps forward - obviously whilst beeing supported - usually he just hangs on to my sleeves or fingers, so he can suport himself - he just can’t balance himself !

Luckily we had the video camera out for the very first time that Joe managed to crawl forward ! Ok, it was only a little crawl but he is now starting to work out what to do to go further. It’ll be more trouble from now on!
